An approach to the construction of a hyperspectral system is proposed and justified, providing control of spectral, spatial, and radiometric (brightness) resolution, which opens up the possibility of hyperspectral monitoring of objects with limited computing resources and bandwidth of the video data transmission channel. Spectral resolution control is supposed to be carried out on the basis of tuneable, software-controlled acousto-optic filters, spatial resolution control – based on modern CMOS matrix technologies with the “active pixel” function, digitalization control of the images obtained – based on the developed analogy-to-digital converter with tuneable quantization level. Modelling using experimental data has shown the possibility of implementing a sufficiently reproducible classification of hyperspectral images with a decrease in their spectral, spatial, and radiometric resolutions.

Subject of study. The process of formation of spectral images by an acousto-optical hyperspectrometer under conditions of angular deviations of the equipment carrier is considered. Aim of study. This study aimed to develop a model of distortion of hyperspectral images generated by an acousto-optical hyperspectrometer under the conditions of angular oscillations of an unmanned aerial vehicle and synthesize an algorithm for correcting such distortions based on angular data from an inertial navigation system. Method. The research method is based on a photogrammetric model of the formation of spectral images under the conditions of angular deviations of the registration system. Main results. The relationship between the hyperspectrometer deviations at the angles of roll, pitch, and yaw and the nature of geometric distortions of the recorded spectral images is determined. An algorithm for correcting the distortions of spectral images based on the data of an inertial navigation system has been developed. The analysis of experimental and numerical studies of the developed algorithm showed a sufficiently high accuracy of correction of the geometric distortions of images caused by the angular fluctuations of the registration system in the range of possible measurement errors. Practical significance. The developed algorithm is computationally simple compared with the known ones and does not require an additional system for registering reference images or complex precalibration, which allows the correction of hyperspectral images on a time scale close to real time with acceptable quality.

The article presents a technique for acousto-optical multispectral imaging based on choosing the most informative spectral channels and the formation of a multi-window transmission function of an acousto-optical tunable filter. The developed algorithm allows one to select combinations of spectral channels that provide high contrast for a given set of objects and backgrounds with known spectra. The method is tested on the contrast visualization of 20 different object-background pairs with a similar color tone. The results of the experiment demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and algorithm.

Iteration algorithms for interchannel gradient reconstruction of multicomponent images distorted by Z-axis noise

This paper presents iteration algorithms for the interchannel gradient reconstruction of the signals of multicomponent digital images distorted by Z-axis noise. The results of numerical studies show that the distorted elements of multicomponent images are reconstructed more accurately when the proposed algorithms are used than they are when known algorithms are used.
