[Objective] The aim was to enhance student′s ability of observation,practice,thinking and innovative.[Method] The material,the teaching process and method of two conventional experiments which includeDetermination of membrane damage in plant tissue and Determination of free amino acids content in plant tissue were improved.[Result] These improvement not only saved the experiment time,but only got a good teaching result.[Conclusion] The study promoted teaching reform of plant physiology experiments.
In order to quantitatively study the effect of african green bristlegrass Narok on water and soil conservation,the study was made in Kunming Yunnan in 2001 and 2002.The treatments were grass strips of African green bristlegrass Narok(A),grass strips of tall fescue Melike(B),without grass strip(C),with three replications which had slopes ranging from 13.2% to 14%,were investigated.In experiments,contour planting maize was on the top of plots and grass strips of 0.5 m wide were on the bottom of plots.The results showed that: the total quantity of runoff and soil loss of three treatments were ABC.The treatments of A averaged 75.9% less runoff and 96.4% less soil loss, and B averaged 59.2% less runoff and 88.2% less soil loss,respectively than from C.The A averaged 40.9% less runoff and 69.2% less soil loss than from B.Contour planting grass strips of African green bristlegrass Narok in sloping fields is an effective conservation measure,so it can be widely used for soil and water conservation purpose in Yunnan and southern part of the country.
Effect of grass strips on soil erosion in sloping was conducted in 2001 and 2002.Four treatments including Festuca arundinacea(A).Festuca arundinacea×Trifolium pratense(B).Setaria sphacelata×Trifolium pratense(C) and without grass strip(D),with three replications which had slopes ranging from 13.2°~14° were investigated.The contour grass strip with width of 0.5 m was placed at the bottom of each plots.Maize of 18 m~2 was placed at the upper plot.Runoff and sediment were collected during maize growing season(May to October).The two-year results showed that ①Grass strips substantially reduced runoff and sediment,the total runoff and sediment of three grass strips had reached very notable discrepancy comparing with without grass strip(P0.01) on sloping field in the two years.Setaria sphacelata×Trifolium pratense(C) was the best of three grass strips,the effect or water and soil conservation was Setarir sphacelata×Trifolium pratense(C)Festuca arundinacea×Trifolium pratense(B)Festuca arundinacea(A)without grass strip(D).② Runoff and soil loss mainly occurred in June,July and August in sloping fields of the experiment,the total runoff and soil loss had readed 96.8% and 99.9% in June,July and August in the two years,especially in June the percentage of loss was 63.2% and 80.3%.The effect of water and soil conservation with three grass strips(A,B,C) was very substantial especially in June than other month.So,the grass strips are an effective and ordinary conservation measure,especially when used in conjunction with contour planting crop.
