Objective To explore brain abscess in CT scanning technique and diagnostic value. Methods On the operation of puncture and41 pathologically confirmed cases of brain abscess in patients with CT plain scan and enhanced, the CT findings were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of the 41 cases, 12 cases of multiple cerebral abscesses, solitary brain abscess in 29 cases. Solitary brain abscess9 cases which occurred in the parietal lobe, temporal lobe in 7 cases, 5 cases of frontal and parietal lobe, occipital lobe in 5 cases, bilateral ventricles and ventricular anterior horn in 1 cases, 1 cases of 1 cases of cerebellum, thalamus. Ping sweep for the area of low density, low density ring whose inner is visible, enhanced visible morphology is not consistent with ring enhancement. Conclusions Abscess of brain CT image has the character of, the scanning techniques and methods of diagnosis, clinical treatment options and prognosis significance.
Objective To study psychological health of family caregivers of patients with stroke and its influence factors.Methods The scale of basic conditions and the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)were used to survey 196 family caregivers of patients with stroke.Results The scores of anxiety of the family caregivers were significantly higher than those of the normal mode(P0.01).Their psychological health was influenced by such factors as sex,education,occupation and average income per month.Conclusion The psychological health of the family caregivers of patients with stroke are worse than normal people.Nursing interventions are necessary for them to improve their psychological health condition and quality of life.
Objective To observe the morphology of neuronal necrosis by kainic acid(KA) induced status epilepsy (SE) in rats, and to study the brain protective effect of Mg 2+.Methods 75 adult male Wistar rats were randomly divided into KA group, Mg 2+ group and normal saline group. SE was induced with KA for 3 hours, and the rats in Mg 2+ group were intraperitoneal injected magnesium sulfate before being injected KA. 72 hours later the rats were killed. We had all rat brain sections and observe the morphology of neuronal necrosis with microscope and electron microscope.Results In KA group, seizure was induced 16.1±4.7 min after injection of KA, but seizure delayed to 25.4±6.2 min in Mg 2+ group. There was a significant difference between two groups (P0.05). Neuronal necrosis in hippocampus was found 72 hours later both in KA and Mg 2+ group. But neuronal damage was more slight in Mg 2+ group than in KA group.Conclusion Our results suggest that SE induced by KA results in neuronal necrosis in hippocampus, and Mg 2+ has protecting effects to the neurons of hippocampus as an exciting amino acid antagonism.
