Experimental Study of Bending Steel Beams Strengthened with CFRP Plates

It is necessary to take measures to prevent the carbon fiber-reinforced polymer(CFRP) plate debonding from the CFRP-strengthened steel beam due to the stress concentration at the two ends of the plate.In this paper,different lengths,widths and thickness of CFRP plates are used in the strengthening experiment to strengthen the bending steel beams,and set U-shaped carbon fiber reinforced polymer sheet anchor at the two ends of the plate.Test results show significant increases in the bending capacity and stiffness of steel beams strengthened with CFRP plates.The increases are related with the area of strengthening,the thickness of CFRP plate and the anchor at the end.The larger of the strengthening area,the thicker of the CFRP plate,and the greater of the strengthening effect.The U-shaped carbon fiber reinforced polymer sheet anchor at the end of CFRP plate may prevent debonding to some extent and increase the effectiveness of the strengthening.

Evaluation of Green Construction Projects Based on Value Engineering

The paper presents a study on performance evaluation of Green Construction projects by using the value engineering(VE) methodology.It is composed of three sections—the theory of the Value Engineering,application of the value engineering theory in performance evaluation of green construction projects and a case study.This paper chiefly deals with the function analysis of the green construction projects,and formulates the Value Engineering method to evaluate the green construction projects.As a new parameter,the value index can provide a best green construction project.

Experimental Study on the Axial Tensile Properties of FRP Grid-Reinforced ECC Composites

The axial tensile properties of FRP mesh-reinforced ECC composites (TRE) were investigated experimentally under the consideration of four influencing factors: grid type, number of reinforcement layers, ECC matrix thickness, and sticky sand treatment on the grid surface. The test results showed that the axial stiffness and tensile strength of the composite were significantly increased, and the tensile properties were significantly improved under the effect of FRP grid reinforcement. Increasing the thickness of the ECC matrix can obviously improve the crack resistance of composites. The ultimate tensile strength of FRP lattice-reinforced ECC composites increased significantly with the increase in the number of lattice layers, but had no significant effect on the crack resistance. The tensile properties of CFRP grid-reinforced ECC composites were slightly better compared to BFRP grid-reinforced ECC composites. The crack resistance and ultimate tensile strength of the composites were slightly improved by impregnating the surface of the FRP grid with adhesive-bonded sand treatment. Based on the experimental data, the tensile stress–strain constitutive model of FRP grid-reinforced ECC composites is established. The calculation results show that the theoretical values of the model agree well with the experimental values. Therefore, it can be used to reflect the stress–strain change state of FRP lattice-reinforced ECC composites during axial tension.

Experimental research on flexural behavior of reinforced RC beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP plates anchored at both ends

Based on the independently developed prestressed CFRP sheet anchor,the experiment on six reinforced concrete beams with tensile CFRP plate in bonding and non-bonding condition was carried out.The influence of prestress and span on flexural behavior of strengthened beam was investigated and the ultimate bearing capacity,sectional strain,CFRP strain and mid-span deflection were also investigated.The test result showed that the bending performance of reinforced concrete beams could be improved with prestressed CFRP plate and the utilization of the strength of CFRP plate was also improved.By using the anchor,the CFRP plate could be reliably anchored,the peeling off was avoided,the cracks in the reinforced concrete beam were reduced,and the ductility of concrete beams was improved.

Improved simulated annealing algorithm study on truss shape optimal design

A state producer that can produce feasible state is designed.The new state that produced by the state producer can satisfy all the constraints,so the constraints are handled efficiently.And an improved simulated annealing algorithm to solve the truss shape optimal design problem is introduced.The example indicates the method can achieved the better solution,at the same time,the whole optimum of the truss shape optimal problem can’t be obtained by the improved simulated annealing algorithm is pointed out.

Finite Element Analysis of ZL50 Loader Stamp-Welding Axle Housing

The axle housing is one of the loader parts that covers the axle shaft, including the main drive and the differential gears. It can undergo many stresses caused by turning, skidding, bending and wobbling of the wheels. Therefore, the axle housing should have enough strength and stiffness. The conventional casting process axle housing existence some disadvantage such as too heavy, wastes material and energy. In order to reduce the cost, the new type of stamp-welding axle housing has developed. This paper makes a finite element analysis on the stamp-welding axle housing of ZL50 loader by using the finite element software ANSYS, carries on 3 kind of typical working conditions analysis computations to the axle housing, and obtains the strain and stress distribution. The results indicated the structure of axle housing can satisfy various working conditions and this can also provide valuable reference for its optimization designing.

Visualization and monitoring information management of bridge structure health and safety early warning based on BIM

Bridge structure health assessment has become a research hotspot. However, the traditional methods lack unified integrated management of the health monitoring related information during the whole life of the bridge, and the visualization of the monitoring information is low. This study proposes a BIM-based bridge health state safety warning and information integration management method which takes Revit software as the development platform and integrates the functional plug-ins of visual warning and monitoring information management into the Revit software through Revit API interface. The implementation of this method is to create a virtual sensor system, forming a monitoring information model, thus forming a front-end visualization carrier. The back-end monitoring information integrated management platform is constructed based on database technology, and the BIM model is associated with monitoring data, so that the management of monitoring information storage, viewing and analysis can be carried out from Revit platform, which further improves the integration and visualization management level of monitoring information. Taking the health monitoring project of Ge Xian Bridge, Yizhou City, Guangxi Province, China as an example, the study describes the implementation of each functional module.
