The KOMPSAT-2(KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite-2) is an earth observation satellite that has been operated in low-earth orbit since the launch on July 28, 2006. Monitoring and trend analysis of spacecraft is one of the key activities for the spacecraft mission operations. It is somewhat difficult for operators to check the telemetry data and detect anomalies because of a shortage of contact time and the individual knowledge difference between operators. And also, telemetry data that operators should check during real-time contact consist of a huge amount of data. These difficulties of operations lead to the need of the automated monitoring system that is capable of processing the telemetry data. In addition to these monitoring activities, the trend analysis activities are needed for performance analysis in order to ensure the safety of spacecraft. This paper presents an automatic system to resolve these difficulties of telemetry monitoring and trend analysis. The TMAS(Telemetry Monitoring and Analysis System) is the automation system that is capable of receiving, archiving and checking telemetry data including anomaly detection. And the TMAS also generates statistics such as minimum value, maximum value, average value, and report files for trend analysis. After processing them, the TMAS is capable of informing results to the related engineers via E-mail automatically. This paper also describes operational results of the TMAS which is used for KOMPSAT-2 operations.
