Objective To observe the clinical effect of combined treatment of alprostadil and mecobalamin on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Methods One hundred and twenty eight patients of DPN were divided into four groups: the alprostadil combined mecobalamine treated group, the alprostadil treated group, the meeobalamine treated group and the underline treated group, randomly. The therapeutic effect and nerve conduction velocity were compared between the four groups prior treatment and post-treatment. Results The alprostadil combined mecobalamine treated group gain an advantage than the alprostadil treated group or the mecobalamine treated group at clinical effectiveness and nerve conduction velocity(P<0.05). Conclusions Alprostadil combined meeobalamine treated can improve DPN more effective than alprostadil treated or mecobalamine treated only.
